I am starting a new series called the Tuesday Tips of the Week to deliver short and easy travel tips to you more often!
This week's Tuesday Travel Tip is all about passports and making sure that yours is valid. A few things to keep in mind before you book your next international trip:
This is a big one that many people forget: your passport expiration date must be at least 6 months after the last day of your international trip. Read that again, at least 6 months after the last day of your international trip. For example, if you have a trip booked until June 1st your passport has to be valid until at least December 1st.
Make sure you sign your passport. There is a line on the first page that you need to sign to validate it.
This might sound silly, but make sure all of your information is accurate. For example, if you got married and changed your name, you need to also file for a new passport.
Make sure you have enough empty pages in your passport. If there is no where to stamp they may not let you travel.
